Flow tester

The T8730 is ForTest’s equipment dedicated to flow measurement (flow-test), designed to ensure fast and accurate tests on components that require verification of air or gas passage.

Thanks to high-quality mass sensors and cutting-edge metrological resolution, it is capable of detecting obstructions or flow leaks with extreme stability.

Equipped with the “ForTest MMI” video interface and a 6.2″ capacitive touchscreen display, it offers intuitive visualization of real-time graphs and the ability to view test data statistics through CTP menus. Its comprehensive connectivity makes it perfect for integration into complex automated lines and for Industry 4.0 requirements, thanks to optional Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT interfaces.

Specialist in flow and obstruction testing
The T8730 is designed to meet testing requirements where the critical parameter is the volume of air passing through a component. Using mass flow sensors, the equipment accurately measures flow regardless of pressure and ambient temperature variations. It is the ideal solution for testing the efficiency of ducts, valves, burners and medical devices where verification of free passage or correct flow calibration is fundamental.

6.2″ MMI video interface and touch display
The user experience is centered on the “ForTest MMI” video system, which transforms the equipment into a true analysis station. The large 6.2″ color display, protected by a capacitive tempered glass panel, allows for clear and detailed flow charts visualization. The integrated numeric keypad and intuitive interface facilitate the configuration of up to 300 test programs, making operation quick even for less experienced technicians.

Advanced measurement electronics and shielding
To ensure stable measurements in all conditions, the T8730 adopts an opto-isolated measurement section and a double Faraday cage. This architecture protects the sensors from electromagnetic interference typical of industrial environments. The measurement resolution is extremely high, allowing the detection of minimal flow variations and guaranteeing excellent test repeatability, minimizing false rejects in production.

Industry 4.0 integration and total traceability
Designed to be the heart of automated systems, the equipment offers a complete range of interfaces: USB (for data saving and updates), RS232, RS485 and Can Bus as standard. It is also prepared for the integration of advanced industrial protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. Test data management enables total traceability, allowing companies to constantly monitor production quality and interface with management systems (MES).

  • The accuracy of the flow measurement is referred up to 2 bar, for higher pressures variations are possible depending on the characteristics of the model.
