For us at ForTest Italia Srl, the protection of personal data is a very serious matter and, for this reason, we are constantly committed to ensuring your privacy is respected.

In this regard, with this document we wish to provide you with some information about the processing of your personal data, on how and why we collect it, and how we manage it.

We process your personal data when you visit our website and/or when you request information about our testing and measurement services and products.

In any case, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we will process your data responsibly, in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, accuracy, purpose limitation, data minimization and storage limitation, ensuring its integrity and confidentiality.

That being said, in compliance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, we would like to provide you with some information regarding said processing activities.

Data Controller

Purpose of processing

Website navigation: We process your data to allow you to navigate our sites and consult them. The computer systems and software resources necessary for the operation of the sites acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

This category of data includes IP addresses, information related to the device used to connect to the site, addresses in URI/URL (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful completion, error, etc.), other parameters related to the user’s operating system and/or computer environment, as well as other identifiers that alone and/or together with other information may allow the identification of a natural person.

This category also includes cookies, for which reference is made to the specific privacy notice.

Contact form: We process your data derived from the contact form on the website (when you request information about our testing and measurement services or products), in order to respond to and fulfill the request received.

For the purpose of said objective, we will process the following personal data: business name or corporate name, or first and last name, contact details (email and telephone).

Legal Basis and Data Retention

The processing takes place on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lett. b) EU Reg. 2016/679, being necessary for the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted at your request or for the execution of a contract of which you are a party. With regard to the processing relating to non-technical and non-necessary cookies, reference is made to the specific information notice, specifying that in such case the processing takes place on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lett. a) EU Reg. 2016/679, being necessary the consent of the data subject. The data thus collected will be processed for the time indicated in the cookie policy, to which full reference is made. You may, in any case, easily revoke your consent by writing to the email address indicated above, or through the opt-out procedure on the cookie management banner.

The processing takes place on the basis of art. 6 par. 1 lett. b) EU Reg. 2016/679, being necessary for the execution of pre-contractual measures adopted upon your request or for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. The data will be retained for no more than 60 days from receipt of the request.

Data Communication

Where the legal basis is not consent, the communication of your personal data by you is necessary, as it would not be possible to carry out the requested actions in its absence.

Data Recipients

Depending on the purpose, the personal data provided may be communicated to internal personnel, expressly authorized to carry out processing operations, as well as to IT service providers and/or consultants who operate as data processors, as well as to public entities in compliance with legal obligations. The list of recipients can be requested from the data controller.

Exercise of rights

At any time you have the right to obtain confirmation from the data controller as to whether or not processing of data concerning you is taking place and to obtain, in such case, access to your personal data and the following information:

  • the categories of personal data processed; | the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed; | the retention period or the criteria used to determine said period; | the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling.

Furthermore, you will be able to ask:

    • it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
  • restriction of processing in cases where:
    • you contest the accuracy of personal data, for the period necessary for the controller to verify the accuracy of such data;
    • the processing is unlawful, and you oppose deletion, requesting that its use be restricted instead;
    • the controller no longer needs it, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defense of your right in legal proceedings;
    • in case of exercising the right to object pursuant to art. 21, for the time necessary for the controller to verify the possible prevalence of the controller’s legitimate grounds for processing over yours;
  • to receive in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format the personal data processed by automated means, based on consent or a contract;
  • that data not be further processed for direct marketing purposes, through objection pursuant to art. 21 par. 2 of the Regulation.

Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Autorità Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), located in Rome at Piazza Venezia n. 11, in case you believe that a processing violates the Regulation.
